Style Guide

Contributers must follow the Papers of the Algonquian Conference style sheet when preparing manuscripts for submission. The current style sheet is available for download here.

Contributers may use the following template, which can be downloaded here: PAC template.

  • The appropriate formatting styles are already inserted into the document.
  • Replace the existing text with text that you want to appear in your paper.
  • Just copy and paste to duplicate a style/environment (e.g., a heading).

This is only intended to be a supplement to the Style Sheet.  Please consult the Style Sheet for additional information, or email us at <algonquianpapers at gmail dot com> if you have any questions.

Sample References

Our bibliographical style is based on that of the journal Language, with a number of modifications. For a complete description, please see the style guide above.  However, we invite authors to review our Pre-formatted Bibliographical References, which lists selected references from volumes 33 – 46, all formatted according to current house style. By adding to this resource from year to year, we hope to provide authors with a pre-formatted source of many of the most frequently cited Algonquianist works, from which they are encouraged to cut and paste.
